Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHR-I) is to participate in UCLA Palestine Solidarity Week during the week of May 20 ‘in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Israeli occupation’. PHR-I’s involvement in an event that demonizes Israel, provides further evidence of its political objectives, despite its stated ‘goal of struggling for human rights, in particular the right to health, in Israel and the Occupied Territories.’. The program will feature talks on ‘Israel, Zionism and Apartheid: The case for boycott, divestment and sanctions’ and ‘Lessons from South Africa’. Friends of Sabeel-Southern California endorsed the event.
